eight27eleven: Dave and Maria
Last month, we had the opportunity to go to England to visit some friends. “Friends” really isn’t enough to describe our relationship with these people. They are family. Dave is one of my brother’s closest friends. He was at our house constantly in high school and after. He is another brother to Adam and to me. Cory adores him, too. And then there is Maria, his new wife. She is beyond sweet and lovely and amazing. We met her a few years ago when they came to Colorado for my brother’s wedding. They stayed with us for five days. We missed them terribly when they left. And that feeling carries through to now. We love these two people so very much. It’s a big bummer that they are so far away, but then, if the weren’t where they are, we never would have gone to England and had this incredible experience we just had. Siiiiiigh…
On to wedding stuff, the whole reason we traveled to the UK was to go to their wedding. And then we decided to make it a whole amazing whirlwind of a trip because…why not? So when we started talking about wedding details with them and found out that they had not hired a wedding photographer, we were a little excited. We wanted nothing more than to make our gift to them photos of their day. And so we did. What a way to make an already outstanding holiday that much more incredible.
Congrats Dave. Congrats Maria. You two have got it good…but you already knew that.
(Maria left the house the night before. We stayed with Dave…made sure he had his tie on right and such. So unfortunately, no photos of the beautiful bride getting ready)
Love you guys! Until next time (which better be soon).
– Abbi and Cory (the latter of who took most of these…being on the spot and taking photos in 4 1/2 inch heels is dangerous.)
