seven10eleven – Kim and Brandon Engaged in Boulder
A (child-tossing(in a fun way)) friend of ours gave our information to a fellow law-student friend of his, Kim. She got in contact with us and we set up a meet and greet in Boulder. We hit it off great with Kim and her fiance, Brandon and the business partner and I were both thrilled when they decided to hire us for their Vail wedding coming up in September (PS: Vail in September?! Cannot wait!), but first, we wanted to get them in front of the camera a bit with some engagement photos.
Our first attempt was rescheduled due to some nasty wind, so when we got to our new scheduled date – last Sunday – we were less than thrilled when our crazy stormy pattern of late afternoon/evening monsoons was holding strong. We decided to wing it in hopes that we would get some breaks in the crazy weather. And if we didn’t, we were given clearance by the fine team at the St. Julien Hotel and Spa in Boulder to shoot inside their hotel. This was not only a beautiful place to begin, but also a memorable for Kim and Brandon since that is where he proposed. And that is where we started. Fortunately, just after we started our session, the weather cleared up and we were able to get where we all wanted to be – outside. And may I just say that post rainstorm Boulder is so gorgeous. Anyway, here are some of our favorites:
Oh wait! First, I have to tell you a few things about Brandon and Kim, like the fact that they’re both wicked smart (you have to say that with a Boston accent…) and driven. Brandon is really funny and Kim giggles at things he says all the time. We have so many cute photos of Kim giggling…and several of Brandon giggling too (you’ll see those). They are both very easy to be around and are very sweet with each other. While photographing them, one thing I picked up on and really loved was that when they hold hands they really mean it. There is no wet-noodle style hand-holding, they mean business – in a good way. It’s adorable.
OK. Now, here are some photos:
